Motorsport UK is excited to announce that the first ever ROKiT British F4 Esports Championship will commence this October, with a 12-round series to decide the inaugural British Esports title in the discipline.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teams of two will battle for a share of a \u00a36,000 cash prize pool on iRacing\u2019s platform in the Formula IR-04, which is based on the real-world second-generation car used in the ROKiT F4 British Championship certified by FIA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twelve races will be held across each of the six Friday night race nights on circuits used in the existing ROKiT British F4 calendar. World renowned tracks including Donington Park, Oulton Park, Knockhill, Snetterton, Silverstone and Brands Hatch GP will all feature in the series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parallels continue with the real-world championship, as ROKiT extend their support to become Title Partner to the ROKiT British F4 Esports Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first five events of the championship will be broadcast live on RaceSpot TV, with the final round streamed live on iRacing\u2019s YouTube channel. Professional esports stars will take to the wheel in teams of two with a blockbuster serving of action expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside being crowned the inaugural ROKiT British F4 Esports Champion, a fully sanctioned Motorsport UK British title, and receiving a share of the \u00a36,000 cash prize pool, the winning driver will attend Motorsport UK\u2019s annual Night of Champions awards ceremony at the Royal Automobile Club alongside champions from a range of disciplines of real-world motorsports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further prizes, including those provided by the series\u2019 exciting line-up of partners, will be unveiled in due course, along with the entry list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hugh Chambers, Motorsport UK Chief Executive Officer, commented,<\/strong> \u201cEsports and real-life motor racing draw parallels, with transferable skillsets. Esports and simulation is embraced by teams and drivers and those that cut their cloth in Esports acquire attributes that can be applied out on track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
