Noah Lisle (Rodin Carlin) elected to race with the ROKiT F4 British Championship certified by FIA instead of his clashing Spanish F4 event, and had no regrets, adding a third win to his tally this season, becoming the first driver to secure three wins in this highly competitive season.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isaac Barashi (Phinsys by Argenti) started from P1 but had an issue at the start that allowed Jack Sherwood (CDR) to rush through and grab the lead from third on the grid. Sonny Smith (JHR) gained four positions on the opening lap to take second while Noah Lisle had moved up three positions to lie fourth and Deagen Fairclough (JHR) moved up from 12th<\/sup> to fifth. Will Macintyre made the most gains that lap, progressing to an impressive tenth from 19th<\/sup>, while Gustav Jonsson was another charger, taking the top rookie slot and eighth overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It then unravelled at the front when disaster first struck for Sherwood, when a brake sensor failure led to his retirement from his early lead with seven minutes remaining. Next it was Smith who, having only just inherited the lead, lost the lead when a tyre delamination resultant of flat-spotting earlier in the race, allowed Lisle to overtake for the win, with Smith dropping down the order. Smith\u2019s JHR team-mate Deagen Fairclough crossed the line in second place, followed by Louis Sharp in third, with Rookie Jonsson in fourth overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kanato Le was set the Motul Fastest Lap on lap eight of ten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the second race of the day Jimmy Piszcyk made a great job of heading a dominant Hitech Pulse-Eight performance. A strong start saw the Australian lead from the off, the only change at the front of the field being Will Macintyre taking advantage of Gabriel Stilp getting bogged down as the lights went out to take second place, putting Stilp in third. The Hitech trio held their positions all the way to the flag. Positions sealed, Piszcyk claimed his second win, Macintyre extended his championship lead and rookie Stilp took his first overall podium finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top-three had been vying throughout for the race\u2019s fastest lap, but instead the Motul Fastest Lap Award went to team-mate Kanato Le on the last lap. Le crossed the line fourth to complete a Hitech Pulse-Eight 1-2-3-4, however a five-second penalty for gaining an unfair advantage while passing Dion Gowda (Rodin Carlin) for fourth dropped him to sixth in the final results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the championship. Will Macintyre will reflect on a successful weekend, converting a pre-Silverstone five point deficit to a 27 point lead ahead of Louis Sharp. Gustav Jonsson has extended his lead in the Rookie Cup to 22 points from Gabriel Stilp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noah Lisle was the Pirelli Hardest Charger at the Silverstone GP track, gaining a total of eight places in races one and three securing him the prize of a set of Pirelli P Zero tyres for testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The  British F4 Championship now has a summer break, with racing resuming at Croft circuit in Yorkshire on 29-30 July.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
