{"id":4363,"date":"2022-01-21T09:56:37","date_gmt":"2022-01-21T09:56:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiaformula4.com\/?p=470"},"modified":"2022-01-21T09:56:37","modified_gmt":"2022-01-21T09:56:37","slug":"virtuosi-racing-confirm-edward-pearson-as-first-rokit-british-f4-entry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fiaformula4.com\/virtuosi-racing-confirm-edward-pearson-as-first-rokit-british-f4-entry\/","title":{"rendered":"Virtuosi Racing confirm Edward Pearson as first ROKiT British F4 entry"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>ROKiT F4 British Championship certified by FIA newcomers Virtuosi Racing have unveiled Edward Pearson as their first signing for the 2022 season.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.fiaformula4.com\/content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/l3_Pearson-01-4-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-471 lazyload\" width=\"1134\" height=\"756\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1134px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1134\/756;\" \/><figcaption>Photo: Jakob Ebrey Photography<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The 15-year-old from Guildford widely impressed with front-running performances in the highly-competitive Ginetta Junior Championship last season, ending on a high with his maiden podium in the category at the Brands Hatch finale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to tin-tops, Pearson enjoyed a strong career in karting, predominantly competing in the X30 Junior and Mini categories before shifting his focus to car racing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m very excited to confirm my plans to move into the ROKiT F4 British Championship with Virtousi Racing for 2022,\u201d said Pearson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTo join such a prestigious team for my first steps on the FIA single-seater pathway is only a benefit for me, and I can\u2019t wait to continue our work throughout the rest of pre-season leading up to the first round at Donington Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m no stranger to a high level of competition, having raced on the BTCC support package in Ginetta Juniors, but I\u2019m aware this will be a new challenge, but one I\u2019m ready to face head on.
