Hitech GP has confirmed karting graduate Oliver Stewart as the third member of its team for the 2022 ROKiT F4 British Championship certified by FIA.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Scottish rising star joins Eduardo Coseteng and Daniel Mavlyutov at Hitech GP and will make a step up to single seaters after competing in the 2021 Wera Tools British Karting Championships. Stewart enjoyed a race-winning campaign in the BKC where he finished fourth overall in the Junior X30 category.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stewart\u2019s performance \u2013 including the British LGM title \u2013 earned him a spot at the coveted Richard Mille Driver Academy shootout in Spain at the end of last year, marking his card as \u2018one to watch\u2019 for the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He will now join Silverstone-based outfit Hitech GP, who also make their first foray into ROKiT British F4 this season, completing their \u2018stairway of talent\u2019 after several seasons fighting at the front in FIA Formula 2 and FIA Formula 3. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m overwhelmed by the opportunity I have been given to drive for such a fantastic team as Hitech GP,\u201d said Stewart on joining the team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt has been my dream to race in a car ever since I was a little boy. It\u2019s a huge step and a massive learning curve but I will give it everything and make the most of this fantastic chance I\u2019ve been given.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMost importantly I\u2019d like to thank Allan Dallas of Ross-Shire Engineering for making this happen and the countless other people that have helped me to get to this point. I can\u2019t wait to get going with Hitech GP.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hitech GP\u2019s British F4 Team Manager, Dominic Stott, expressed his happiness at adding Stewart to the team\u2019s line-up, and is aiming to hit the ground running. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are excited to welcome Oliver onboard for the 2022 season,\u201d commented Stott. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe has had some strong results in karting and we want to show what we can do together. We now have a solid driver line-up for the British F4 season and we aim to build on our strong showing in the FIA F4 UAE Championship over the last couple of months.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stewart joins a growing list of confirmed drivers for the season ahead, including new team-mates Coseteng and Mavlyutov, Phinsys by Argenti pairing Aiden Neate and Daniel Guinchard, Carlin\u2019s Ugo Ugochukwu and Virtuosi Racing\u2019s Edward Pearson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2022 marks a new era in the championship\u2019s history, with new organisers in Motorsport UK and a brand-new chassis in the Tatuus T-421, complete with state-of-the-art safety features such as a Halo-style cockpit protection device, re-inforced side anti-intrusion panels and on-board safety signalling systems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drivers and teams will also have a brand new Abarth engine and Pirelli control tyres to get to grips with, meaning the standard of competition on-track is set to be higher than ever before. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The series commences at Donington Park at the end of April and runs through until the finale at Brands Hatch in October, with action broadcast live and free-to-air on ITV4. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
