{"id":825,"date":"2025-09-01T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-09-01T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/f4-dev.madeatworkhouse.co.uk\/?post_type=events&#038;p=825"},"modified":"2025-10-29T06:26:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T06:26:09","slug":"brands-hatch-gp","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/fiaformula4.com\/events\/brands-hatch-gp\/","title":{"rendered":"BRANDS HATCH (GP)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From its humble origins as a grassland motorcycle circuit, Brands Hatch has grown over the last seven decades to become one of the most iconic venues in global motorsport.<\/p>\n<p>Situated within a natural amphitheatre in Kent \u2013 \u2018the Garden of England \u2013 the circuit is unique to the Wera Tools British F4 calendar in that it hosts two events on different circuit layouts, with Britain\u2019s FIA Formula 4 series making a trip apiece to the \u2018Indy\u2019 and \u2018Grand Prix\u2019 circuits.<\/p>\n<p>The 1.2-mile Indy circuit is home to some of the most famous corners in British motorsport, including the sweeping, down-hill right hander at Paddock Hill Bend, an up-hill hairpin at Druids and the technical, sharp left-hander at Graham Hill Bend.<\/p>\n<p>As the name suggests, the Grand Prix layout was used to host twelve runnings of the British Grand Prix between 1964 and 1986, with the \u2018GP loop\u2019 synonymous among drivers for its challenging, \u2018on the limit\u2019 nature.<\/p>\n<p>With both an early-season fixture and the season-concluder in October, putting six strong races together at Brands Hatch can make \u2013 or break \u2013 a drivers\u2019 championship bid.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":4679,"template":"","race_type":[46],"class_list":["post-825","events","type-events","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","race_type-race-weekends"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/fiaformula4.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/events\/825","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/fiaformula4.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/events"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/fiaformula4.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/events"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/fiaformula4.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/4679"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/fiaformula4.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=825"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"race_type","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/fiaformula4.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/race_type?post=825"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
