The Wera Tools F4 British Championship certified by FIA arrives at Snetterton this weekend (24-25 May) with an ultra-competitive field all vying to get a foothold in the battle for supremacy at the top of the standings.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Providing the first step on the road to Formula 1, the UK\u2019s leading single-seater series has been the ultimate proving ground for countless leading lights down the years and, judging by the action that has unfolded already in 2025, more stars are well in the making.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Reinforcing that statement is last week\u2019s historic announcement that Britain\u2019s Formula 4 series will race at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix this summer, marking the first occasion that F4 has supported F3, F2 and F1 on a Grand Prix weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

With the focus on this weekend, championship points leader James Piszcyk (Rodin Motorsport) has enjoyed a strong start to the season, winning two of the opening six races, and he\u2019ll be hoping to maintain his fine form here in Norfolk.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

As always, the margins are tight in British F4 and just eight points adrift of Piszcyk, in second place, is leading rookie Fionn McLaughlin (Hitech TGR). The Red Bull Junior has wasted no time in finding his feet in the category; and with four podiums to his name already, the next target will be to stand on the top step.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Hot on McLaughlin\u2019s heels is Donington Park winner August Raber (Argenti Motorsport) and 2024 Rookie Cup champion Martin Moln\u00e1r (Virtuosi Racing) – two drivers that have showcased they have all the pace and potential that is required to be title contenders.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Behind the top four are a gaggle of teenage talents all eager to close the lead gap. They include Thomas Bearman (Hitech TGR), Tommy Harfield (Chris Dittmann Racing), Rowan Campbell-Pilling (JHR Developments), Ethan Jeff-Hall (Argenti Motorsport), Leo Robinson (Hitech TGR) and Henry Joslyn (Fortec Motorsport).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

They aren\u2019t the only drivers to look out for as both Chase Fernandez (Xcel Motorsport) and Adam Al Azhari (Rodin Motorsport) have been reverse grid race winners while Joel Bergstr\u00f6m (JHR Developments) and Xavier Avramides (Hitech TGR) have been front-runners.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Fernandez isn\u2019t alone at Xcel Motorsport either with Yuhao Fu, Theo Palmer \u2013 who made his racing debut in the last round at Silverstone GP \u2013 and Cole Hewetson all helping to push the team forward. Over at Chris Dittmann Racing, Challenge Cup competitors Charlie Edge and Alba Larsen will be aiming for three solid races.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The British F4 entry list this weekend is completed by F1 Academy race-winner Ella Lloyd and series-returnee Chloe Chong (both Rodin Motorsport), Henry Mercier (Argenti Motorsport) and Esmee Kosterman (JHR Developments).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Qualifying for the C1RCUIT Watches Pole Position Award takes place at 10:55 on Saturday before Race 1 gets underway later that afternoon at 14:35.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
